Celebrate Austria Day at Fischer's

A national holiday in Austria, the National Day falls on 26th October each year and at Fischer’s we like to mark the occasion with all the begeisterung (enthusiasm!) it deserves.

So, it’s time to dust down those Dirndls and Lederhosen, as preparations begin for Fischer’s annual Austria Day festivities on Sunday 26th October 2025.

To celebrate, we are offering all guests who dine on the day a complimentary mini Sachertorte with a ganache coating and rich, chocolate-laden sponge, and those dining with us after 5pm will receive a glass of Bründlmayer to toast to the occasion – a fine Austrian sparkling wine which is akin to a toasty, warming champagne. From 6:30pm guests can also enjoy the sounds of the Tyrolean accordion, and if the mood takes you, traditional dress is most welcome.

Throughout the week, the team will be serving up an indulgent array of special menu items to honour the occasion. Sample savoury delights, such as, Wurstsalat (smoked pork sausage, mustard dressing, red onion, cheddar and gherkins) and traditional SemmelKnodel (potato dumplings with wild mushroom sauce).

Room for dessert? Delight in our Linzertorte, a raspberry and almond shortcrust pastry tart served with hazelnut Chantilly cream.
